Our story
About California Upholstering Co.
California Upholstering Co. is a Sacramento furniture shop built around one skill: reupholstering furniture right. Whether it's a treasured family chair or a custom conversion, every piece gets careful, hands-on attention.
Good work takes time, and we would rather do it right than rush it. Customers come back to us again and again for chairs, sofas, and one-of-a-kind pieces they want restored, not replaced.
We focus exclusively on furniture upholstery, so every job, from a straightforward reupholstery to a full custom conversion, gets a craftsperson's full attention.

What customers say
“I had a toddler rocker reupholstered and converted into a normal chair. They did a fantastic job and I was really really impressed with the craftsmanship. The price and time it took me to get the chair were reasonable. I will absolutely go back to get more items in my home reupholstered here. They are fantastic!”
“This is my 2nd time using them, they're great! As anything quality takes time, there can be quite a wait, however it's always worth it! Excellent craftsmanship.”
“Great work! Beautifully applied the colors I was looking for. They had my chair for only a week. Excellent work!! Very happy!”
